Buccaneers Tristan Wirfs Injury Update

Per Greg Auman of The Athletic, Buccaneers tackle Tristan Wirfs received some good news about his ankle injury. Wirfs originally thought he would need surgery to repair the torn ligaments in his ankle. But as Auman recently reported, it’s possible he won’t need surgery but instead opt for plasma-rich plasma treatments.

As Auman stated, Wirfs will stay on a boot while receiving the treatments in hopes of avoiding surgery. Either route he decides to take will still have him ready for training camp.

Auman also had this fun nugget, Wirfs will be at this week’s Pro Bowl. He will fly out on his own to support and hang out with his fellow Buccaneers Pro Bowl teammates.
