Report: Former Buccaneers RB to Sign With Chiefs

0

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had an enormous amount of free agents to address this offseason. General manager Jason Licht has done a great job navigating free agency the past few years. Last offseason Licht was able to do the unthinkable, bringing back every starter from a Super Bowl team.

This offseason Licht hasn’t had the same luck losing Jordan Whitehead (S) and Alex Cappa (G). Add another name to that list, Ronald Jones (RB).

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs are signing Jones to a one-year deal that could net Jones up to $5 million dollars.

Jones time in Tampa has been a mixed bag, but mostly disappointment. With the rise of Playoff Lenny and his subsequent three-year deal, the writing was on the wall.
