The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are gearing up for the 2022 NFL Draft. With the draft approaching fast teams are now bringing in potential draftees for predraft workouts. Greg Auman of The Athletic reports that this Thursday the Buccaneers will have University of Florida’s running back Dameon Pierce visiting for a workout.
Here's a big name — former Gators running back Dameon Pierce will be at the Bucs' local predraft workout Thursday. He had a top-30 visit with the Saints already.

The Buccaneers just re-signed Leonard Fournette to a three-year deal. They just recently drafted Ke’Shawn Vaughn, so would the team be looking to draft another running back? Vaughn hasn’t exactly “lit it up” with the opportunities he’s had. He’s still young and does have the ability to do everything the team’s needs him to do. It just hasn’t happened yet.
Summary
Pierce is an explosive back with a great downfield burst. He has the power to break tackles and the ability to make opponents miss. He runs well reading the blocks as they develop creating additional Yards per rush. Pierce was very productive considering how little he was used his senior year. The good news is, him being underutilized his senior year means there’s plenty of tread on the tire.
Dameon Pierce Career College Stats
Rushing Yards: 1,806
Average Per Carry: 5.5
Touchdowns: 23
Receiving Yards: 422
Receiving TDs: 5
