Buccaneers’ Brady Chimes in on Gronkowski’s Status

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady recently sat down with Mike DeStefano from Complex.com for an interview. During the interview, Brady was asked about the return of tight end Rob Gronkowski, “I’m hoping Gronk comes back to play.”

Gronkowski recently told SB Nation’s Debbie Emery that if he returned it would be with the Buccaneers. The Gronk also said no contract negotiations have started with the Buccaneers.

“That will start if I decide that I want to play,” Gronkowski told Emery during an interview before his appearance at the Nickelodeon “Kids’ Choice Awards” on April 9. “There’s no reason to do that while there’s a decision to be made first. It’s all about if I decide to.”

Brady has previously stated “I don’t know” about Gronkowski’s future during a February episode on the “Let’s Go!” podcast.

Let’s be honest, Gronkowski will be back at some point. He’s gone out of the way to avoid offseason programs in the past. Remember him telling us how he faked workouts during the pandemic by switching shirts? Gronkowski also has a huge draft party scheduled in Las Vegas this year, my guess is he’ll either announce his return there or shortly thereafter.
