Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ head coach Todd Bowles has had a busy offseason in 2022. This week we found out he’ll be a lot busier, especially on Saturdays.

Bowles’ son Troy is the nation’s second ranked linebacker from Jesuit High School in Tampa. On Saturday, Troy Bowles announced his commitment to the University of Georgia. Todd Bowles recently talked to Tampa Bay Times‘ Joey Knight about his son and how his sons’ game compares to his

“I played for the [Washington] Redskins at 6-2, 205. He’s bigger, he’s faster and he’s way more athletic than I ever was.”

Troy Bowles is 6’1, 210 pounds and posted 110 tackles, seven sacks, two interceptions his senior year at Jesuit. Todd Bowles made sure Troy was able to finish his high school career in Tampa.

“I would not do that to him. They do a great job over there teaching him life skills and football. It’s great that he’s over there; I think Coach [Matt] Thompson does a heck of a job.”

Troy Bowles Highlights

Congratulations to Troy and the entire Bowles family. It’s not easy to walk in your father’s footsteps, but that appears to be exactly what Troy is doing.
