Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Kyle Trask had every reason to fold Saturday night against the Dolphins. Trask turned the ball over twice in three plays against Miami, but persevered.
After the two turnovers, Trask seemed to find his groove. Starting with dropping a dime to receiver Jerreth Sterns in the end zone to several clutch throws down the stretch. Trask overcame adversity and excelled. Keeping your poise under pressure is key, doing so after two turnovers is what makes an NFL quarterback.
Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles agreed,
“I thought he managed the game well,” Bowles said. “He handled situations well. He didn’t get rattled. … I thought he played well.”
Trask’s up and down game mimics his 2022 training camp thus far. Sometimes he’s great, sometimes he isn’t, somewhere in the middle is where he needs to be.
