The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are releasing veteran defensive back and recent signing Logan Ryan. Per Greg Auman of The Athletic via Pewter Report, the Bucs will likely re-sign Ryan later in the week.
Bucs are releasing safety Logan Ryan, but he's had consistent praise from coaches all camp. He's a vested veteran (doesn't have to go through waivers) so a smart choice to bring back Wednesday after center Ryan Jensen goes on IR. That makes the most sense. @pewterreport first.

This appears to be of a manipulation of the roster as the Buccaneers need to keep injured center Ryan Jensen on their active roster until today’s 4pm deadline.
Look for Logan Ryan to be back on the team in the coming days.
