Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ receiver Chris Godwin left Sunday night’s game with a leg injury. This prompted concerns that he re-injured his surgically repaired knee.
Monday brought some good news, as reported by Greg Auman of The Athletic, Godwin’s injury is a hamstring, and not as severe as initially suspected per head coach Todd Bowles. So while a hamstring injury is nothing to sneeze at, it’s definitely better than re-injuring his surgically repaired knee.
Bowles says Chris Godwin’s hamstring isn’t as severe as they had feared so it’s just seeing how he responds to treatment in terms of how long he’s sidelined.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero confirmed this report and added Godwin should not need an extended absence. Look for the Buccaneers to handle the Godwin injury week by week.
The good news here: Chris Godwin's reconstructed knee came through the game fine. So it should not be an extended absence. https://t.co/YgD4LpKJjH
