The Tampa Bay Buccaneers started week two of their OTAs Tuesday. Week two is underway and with more veteran participation including defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr.
The Bucs 2023 offseason has been full of changes. From offensive coordinators to starting quarterback. Add another change to the list, this time it’s a position change for Antoine Winfield Jr.
Via buccaneers.com Brianna Dix,
“Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. confirms that he has been moved back to free safety, manning the middle of the field. Todd Bowles stressed earlier in the offseason that the goal of the transition is to create an uptick in turnovers with Winfield’s ball skills on the back end.”
Winfield Jr on the position change,
“I like having that freedom just to roam around and be in the middle of the field and have that presence all over.”
