Via Fox Sports’ Greg Auman, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have restructured the contracts of offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs and defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr.
To create cap space to sign more draft picks, the Bucs restructured the contracts of Tristan Wirfs and Antoine Winfield, both in the fourth year of their rookie deals. They were due to make a combined $5.8 million in base salary. No extensions, but frees up the space they needed.

Per Auman, the restructers add four void years for Winfield Jr and three void years for Wirfs. This is good for just over $3 million in cap space needed for signing their remaining draft class. The restructers do not add years to either Wirfs’ or Winfield Jr’s contracts.
