Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ wide receiver Mike Evans has a distinctive NFL record nine consecutive seasons of at least 1,000 yards receiving to start an NFL career.
The 2024 NFL season brings Evans the chance to make it 10 consecutive seasons, but Evans has his eyes a little further down the road.
Evans recently held his football camp where he spoke with Ari Alexander from KRPC2 about his streak and chasing Jerry Rice’s 11 consecutive 1,000-yard season.
“I think about it. It’s right there, so I’m gonna definitely try to go get that. I’m already one of one right now. I hope I can pass the great Jerry Rice and his record. Obviously, nobody will pass his records probably, like ever, total. But that 1,000-yard streak record would be cool to have.”
For Evans, the streaks and records are nice, but he’s focused more on team goals.
“I should get 1,000 yards if I’m healthy. Every year. It ain’t that. I want to be one of the tops in the league. I want to be winning games. That’s what I care about.”
Talked to #Buccaneers star WR Mike Evans this week at his football camp.
