Buccaneers’ Mayfield, “Losing Three In A Row Sucks”

0

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Buffalo Bills 24-18 Thursday night in Buffalo against the Bills. The Pewter Pirates dropped their third-straight to fall below .500.

While there are several places you can point the finger at for these losses, it’s been the offenses inability to put points on the board that sticks out. Quarterback Baker Mayfield addressed this and didn’t mince his words.

“Losing three in a row sucks. There’s no way around that. But we showed fight tonight. That’s the one thing we can hang our hats on. We gave it everything we had late there, but we’ve got to play better early on. You can’t hurt yourselves.”

After starting the season 3-1 the Buccaneers are now on a three-game skid. Yes, Thursday the Bucs had a chance to win the game, but let’s be serious, scoring 6, 13, and 18 as they’ve done during this losing streak isn’t going to cut it.

This isn’t to say the season is over for the Pewter Pirates. Being in the NFC South has its advantages. Yes the Falcons are currently in first place, but Desmond Ridder is a turnover machine with 11 already this season. The Saints currently have the same record as the Buccaneers, but the Bucs currently hold the head-to-head tiebreaker. Then there’s the Panthers. Carolina has yet to win with their rookie quarterback. To compound their problems, they’ve given up the most points in the division and have scored the fewest.

So… “brightside” right?
