WR Jackson Takes on a Leadership Role

Last year, WR DeSean Jackson had a rough year. His 50 catches for 668 yards were both career lows. All season Jackson and QB Jameis Winston were out of sync on the deep ball, something Jackson is known for.

This year feels different. Jackson looks way more comfortable in this offense now. He has even taken a leadership type role, on this team. Coach Dirk Koetter has said “DeSean is having a great camp.” and “I think DeSean was asserted himself not only as a veteran, but as a leader. He’s tried to take more of a leadership role and I’m very pleased.”

It seems as if Jackson could have a big season, catching numerous deep balls in practice. He has also been taking a lot of snaps in the slot this camp. This would be a nightmare for opposing DBs.
