Is Cichy Another Hidden Gem?

Last season, the Buccaneers took a chance and drafted LSU LB Kendell Beckwith. Beckwith was coming off a devastating knee injury, but ended up being a huge contributor, starting at all 3 LB positions on defense.

This year, the Bucs took another chance and drafted Wisconsin LB Jack Cichy in the 6th round. Like Beckwith, Cichy is coming off a nasty knee injury that cost him all of 2017. In 2015, in 12 games, Cichy put up respectable numbers with 60 tackles, 8 for loss, and 5 sacks. Next, in 2016 in just 7 games he had 60 tackles, 7 for loss, and 1.5 sacks.

At 6’2″, he still has some bulk to add to his 234lbs, but is a decent athlete for his size. Cichy still has a long way to go, but with a little coaching and hard work on his part he could find himself a starter one day soon.
