Cowboys trade to get Matt Cassel

Brandon Weeden went 7 for 7  and 73 yards and 1 TD helping to seal the fate of the Philadelphia Eagles by the score of 20-10, this past Sunday afternoon. But Bringing in Matt Cassel is a good idea. The Cowboys have zero depth at the Qb position and may need someone if something happened to Brandon Weeden.

“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says you won’t find a more “gifted passer” in the NFL than Brandon Weeden. But the team is going to make sure that they have insurance in case he doesn’t work out. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport broke the news Tuesday that Dallas acquired quarterback Matt Cassel from the Bills. The Cowboys later confirmed the move, which didn’t cost the team much. The Cowboys sent a 2017 fifth-round pick to the Bills in exchange for a 2017 seventh-round pick, NFL Media’s Albert Breer reported according to a Cowboys team source.”- Gregg Rosenthal of Around the NFL
