The defense has done a solid job of putting the offense into great field position. But, the offense has to capitalize on that field position and not give the ball up on turnovers.
“So far this year, we’ve been playing all of our opponents and the Buccaneers, most games,’’ Jackson said. “As soon as we can get out of our own way and cut down on penalties and turnovers, we’ll definitely be fine.’’ The Bucs are the second-most penalized team in the league with 38. They also rank second in giveaways with 10. “That’s the biggest one,’’ Jackson said of the giveaways. “Because there have been big signs and flashes from us just marching down the field and (conducting) 80-, 90-yard drives. We can do that.” – Reported by Roy Cummings
