The undefeated Patriots lose a valuable weapon on the ground, But still have Legarrette Blount. Blount has been a powerful running weapon for the patriots off and on for 3 years. I do not think losing Lewis will hurt their record in any way.
“Dion Lewis’ breakout season with the Patriots has come to a premature end. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Lewis suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s 27-10 win over the Redskins. Lewis needs surgery and will be placed on injured reserve. The Boston Globe first reported the news. Lewis suffered the non-contact injury while making a cut with 5:40 to play in the third quarter on Sunday.
