This is a good move by the organization to ensure the safety of its players. This should have been put into the works a long time ago. Many players, in the past, could have avoided many of the long-term brain injuries, that they have suffered, after playing in the NFL.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the league “will impose discipline for future violations of medical protocol.”
“That new policy will cover all injuries, but obviously is specifically designed to try to avoid future eggs on face such as when the Rams quarterback was allowed to continue to play after he suffered a concussion.” – Reported by Darin Gantt
