The San Fransico 49ers have led on that Colin Kaepernick will remain on the team. But it seems that Kap may have a difference of opinion. The quarterback’s agents have submitted a request to the 49ers seeking a trade. They have yet to receive permission from the 49ers.
The trade request comes as a shock, as just one day prior to the trade request, 49ers GM Trent Baalke stated that Kaepernick will absolutely be on the team. Kap’s trade request may come from the fact that Chip Kelly wants him to compete for his starting QB position. Kap might be using this trade as a tactic to deter Chip Kelly from making him compete for his starting job, but then again it is a business, and he may feel he would do better somewhere else.
