NFL sources report that six teams are interested in Doug Martin, during the start of the legal tampering period. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers remain diligent in their intent to re-sign Doug Martin. This will drive Doug Martin’s value through the roof, and he could ultimately get a DeMarco Murray type of salary. Failing to come to terms prior to the tampering period may have put the ball in Martin’s court as team interests peek, the Buccaneers may have to dish out a little more than originally expected. But then again, even with a multitude of teams interested in Martin, that does not necessarily mean Martin will receive high offers from them. This could ultimately play out in the Buccaneers favor.
