Buccaneers and Bruce Carter to part ways

NFL insiders report that the Buccaneers will likely be releasing linebacker Bruce Carter. Carter signed a four-year, $17-million dollar deal, last season with $4.25 million guaranteed. The linebacker was due $4.25 million + a $750K roster bonus. No dead money will be available to the Buccaneers, in 2016, because of Carter’s deal. Now, a restructured contract is possible, and Carter could return to Tampa, but that is unlikely to happen.
