Jaylon Smith was expected to be a first-round pick until he injured his knee in the last game of his college career. He sustained nerve damage, and that is a big concern with recovery time. Doctors have told Smith that he will eventually recover from this injury, but what wasn’t said, is how long it will take. That will make teams second guess drafting him. If Smith fully recovers then you will have on of the best players in the draft if he doesn’t then you could be drafting a bust. Either way, the fact that he had such a terrible injury, destroys his draft stock. But the general consensus is that he will miss all of 2016.
