The Jacksonville Jaguars sign third-round pick DE Yannick Ngakoue today. Ngakoue had 13 1/2 sacks last season before declaring himself for the draft as a junior. The former University of Maryland star will back up Dante Folwer and has received plenty of praise from coaches for his offseason performances, thus far. His speed on and off the ball will make him a perfect fit for the Jaguars defense. The exact terms of Ngakoue’s contract are known at this time, but he is guaranteed a minimum of $540,000 in salary per year of the contract and a minimum of $856,000 signing bonus. According to sources, there is an additional $456,000 in available compensation that still needs to be negotiated.
