Boston College is retiring both Matt Ryan and Luke Kuechly’s jerseys this year. Matt Ryan’s ceremony will take place on Nov.19 when Boston College takes on Connecticut and Kuechly’s will take place on Oct. 22 during the Syracuse game.
In 2007, Matt Ryan had set a school record for single-season passing yards by tallying 4,507 yards and 31 TD’s. Kuechly was the most decorated defensive player Boston College history for leading the nation in tackles in back to back seasons and left Boston College with a school-record 532 tackles.
Both Ryan and Kuechly’s jerseys will hang next to players like Art Donovan, Doug Flutie, and Bill Flynn.
