After spending much of 2015 with the Buccaneers, they decided not to re-sign the veteran defensive tackle. He appeared in 14 games, as Buc, and recorded 25 tackles and one sack.
Prior to Tampa, he spent two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks where he played in 29 games.
McDaniel went undrafted to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2006 where he played for three seasons before heading to Miami for a four-season stretch.
