Kansas City Chiefs long snapper James Winchester’s father, Michael, was shot and killed yesterday at Will Rogers World Airport on Tuesday.
After extensive searches for the suspect, he was eventually found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the parking garage of the airport.
Police have not yet released the identity of the shooter as they are still investigating the motive. However, they did say the shooting appears to be pre-meditated.
The gunman apparently waited in his truck for Michael, who was a Southwest Airlines employee, to either arrive or leave work.
