The Buccaneers are not worried about the postseason not because it’s virtually impossible, but a win against Carolina is just as important to the team. If Tampa beats Carolina on Sunday, it will be the first time the team has swept the Panthers since 2012 and will give Tampa their first winning season since 2010.
9-7 looks and feels better than 8-8, especially for a team that has had so many issues plague them this season. A win Sunday would be monumental, and despite falling short of a playoff, one could say that this season was definitely a success.
The last game of the season is much more than just a final game, it’s a stepping stone, and you either step up or step down. I know everyone will agree it is better to head into the offseason on a high note rather than on the humbug.
