Consistently Inconsistent

As the 2016 year closed for our beloved Bucs, we can all look back to key situations that may have cost the Bucs a playoff berth. That one glaring component, to me, was the ability to be inconsistent. It started with the defense and eventually moved its way to the offensive side of the ball.

There was a ton of hype coming into the year, with the resigning of Doug Martin, and year two of Jameis Winston. This came with injuries and inconsistent play. Martin, after signing his deal, was hurt for the majority of the year and was outplayed by Jacquizz Rodgers.

I understand that we all love the Muscle Hamster, but was he really worth the contract that the Bucs gave him? He hasn’t proven to be the most reliable back and now the suspension.

Jameis had a good year and for most fans, we love seeing our future quarterback succeed, but the interceptions have got to stop. This isn’t college anymore and the decision making has to improve if the Bucs are going to compete in a loaded NFC South division.

All in all, we have a lot to look forward to next year Bucs Fans.
