The Bucs will likely be in the market for a new halfback and there have already been discussions of Adrian Peterson and the draft. However, there are other options out there.
One such, although it’s not likely to come to fruition, but is a solid legal option that could present itself, is that of Steelers star running back, Le’Veon Bell. He is an unrestricted free agent this off-season and even though you may think it’s a far-fetched concept, it really isn’t one that is out of the realm of possibility.
Let’s just say the Steelers somehow do not re-sign him and do not franchise tag him, which is another strong possibility, we have the cap space to sign him to a contract. Crazier things have happened. I think Bell is worth the money he would be seeking if he made it to the free agency. If Tampa is, in fact, looking for an every down back, then they should not let that opportunity pass them by.
