Kicking Butt and taking names?

Getting the Buccaneers a playmaker is obviously a top priority this year. A wide receiver and a tight end would be especially great.

What if we could get both in one player?

Jake Butt would have been easily a top 15-20 draft pick but suffered a serious knee injury in his last game as a Wolverine. Butt is a six foot six inches threat from everywhere on the field.

Butt is a six foot six inches threat from everywhere on the field. He is too big for corners and small safeties. Agile enough to lose linebackers and the bigger safeties. Brate and Butt could become a team’s worst nightmare for years to come.

Butt would be a great late day two, or even an early day three pick. With him rehabbing for the most of the season if not the whole season. He would be able to learn the system and how the NFL works.

Some may call it a waste of a pick but I’m sure Licht wouldn’t mind drafting a guy in the late rounds only to putt him on IR, especially if he has the possibility of becoming a future star. Butt would be a no brainer if he is still sitting there in rounds three through seven.
