The Chiefs have just announced that they have signed running back C.J. Spiller. Spiller is a former first-round draft pick back in 2010. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills and spent five seasons with the team before signing a four-year contract with the Saints worth $16 million, two years ago.
The Saints released Spiller a few weeks into the 2016 regular season, and the Seattle Seahawks signed him promptly after his release. Spiller only stayed with Seattle roughly one month before the New York Jets picked up the running back in November of last year. That too was short-lived.
Maybe this time things will work out better for the veteran running back.
