Tampa has had things go right for them when it comes to football players who were also basketball players; i.e., wide receiver Mike Evans and tackle Demar Dotson. Tampa may just have their eyes set on another. VCU basketball player Mo Alie-Cox visited with the Buccaneers and is thought to fit the bill as a tight end.
Alie-Cox is 6’4, 262 lbs and measured an 86 in. wingspan. At the combine, he recorded a 35 in. vertical and clocked the 40 at 4.75, which is respectable. He has never played one lick of college football but the size and athleticism surely warrant a thorough look. He is currently training to make the switch from basketball tot he NFL.
