Doug Martin has rejoined the team and is ready for workouts as OTAS begin today.

Doug Martin is suspended for the first few games of the 2017 season due to P.E.D. violations. However, he is seemingly in a good place and after completing rehab for Adderall. Although his future with Tampa is still up in the air, it is a good start for Martin to begin OTAS on a positive note.

Martin has been injured quite a bit during his career with the Buccaneers and last season he again struggled. He missed a lot of time due to a hamstring issue and performed poorly according to many standards. His suspension not only smeared his good name but it also voided his guaranteed money for the 2017 season.

He will have to impress the coaches in order to regain his standings on the team, and with rumors that the Buccaneers could be pursuing Dalvin Cook or another runningback in the draft, will only add to the fact that Martin will need to shine during OTAS and during camp.

I personally like Doug Martin and like others, understand that when he is healthy he is one of the best backs in the league. I have hope for the best where Martin is concerned and would like to see him remain on the team for the upcoming season. I believe the best is yet to come for the former first-round draft pick.
