Talib on the Block?

The word on the street is that the Denver Broncos are likely going to put veteran cornerback, Aqib Talib, on the trading block. If it is true that the Broncos are shopping the veteran, one landing spot that could be good for him is back home in Tampa.

Image result for aqib talib bucsTalib is another one of the guys Bucs fans can’t believe got away. Actually, he was cut due to off-field issues but is still remains one player that fans wished had never left. He is also another player that our veteran defensive lineman Gerald McCoy has been lobbying for to return.

Talib still has 2 years left on his contract with Denver but is likely to be traded due Denver’s financial situation, as they have two talented young CBs set to make $8 million each this year. Talib is set to make $11 million for 2018 and another $8 million for 2019, so Denver will need to free up some of that money.

Despite Talib’s talent, he still maintains questionable off-field behavior, and that could ultimately affect the number of interested parties. However, if the price is right, then Tampa could take a shot at getting the veteran, especially considering the return of Brent Grimes in 2018 is still up in the air.
