Could One Buc Place see Derrick Brooks More? – Brandon Allen

On December 21st, 2017, The Tampa Bay Storm announced that they were shutting down operations effective immediately and that they would not be operating the franchise in 2018. It was a very sad day when the announcement was made. With the Tampa Bay Storm closed, what will ex-Buccaneer Derrick Brooks do with all of the free time he has now?

During the Pro Bowl week, Brooks was asked about his plans now that he has more time freed up with the shut down of Arena football team Storm.. he replied that, “he was actually going to be busier”. Brooks is going to be working with Jeff Vinik and his sports entertainment properties company. USF and Vinik company recently signed a ten-year deal to handle all multimedia and marketing for USF Bulls.

With the extra time, Brooks will have, he will be able to work with the kids at USF and get to know them more. He will also still be working for the NFL as an NFL appeal officer for those who face on-field disciplinary actions. Even though Brooks is busy with working with the NFL and USF marketing, will he be able to have more time to be around One Buc Place? Every Buccaneer fan loves Derrick Brooks and I think they would agree that he would make an awesome coaches assistant or recruiter.

Will the Bucs see Brooks more at the next training camp? Will he get the urge to go back to One Buc Place to help out?? ONLY TIME WILL TELL! I would love for him to be around more and help our already talented linebacker core get stronger!
