It’s official. The Arizona Cardinals have placed veteran QB Carson Palmer onto the Reserve/ Retired list.

Palmer announced his retirement back in January, and as procedure dictates, the team placed him on the list. However, if Palmer changes his mind, the Cardinals placing him on the Reserve/ retired list, maintain rights to Palmer for whenever he decides to un-retire.

The 38-year old former first-round draft pick of 2003, played 7 seasons for the Bengals and was then traded to the Raiders before spending his last 5 seasons with the Cardinals. Palmer threw for 46,247 yards in his career, completed over 62.5% of his passes, 187 interceptions, and 294 touchdowns.
