Kyle Fuller to Test Free Agency – Daniel Beebe

The Bears haven’t had much to celebrate the past couple seasons. The one bright spot for the Chicago Bears defense has been the defensive back, Kyle Fuller. He is considered to be one of the top defensive backs to hit free agency. The Bears are in aggressive talks regarding Fuller, but he could have better options out there. I believe that Fuller will look to get out of Chicago and test the market.

Tampa Bay is in need of secondary help and Fuller may be the answer to their problems. Fuller missed the 2016 season due to injury, but before that, he appeared in all 16 games since 2014. For his career, Fuller has combined for 188 tackles and 8 interceptions. This would be a huge move for the Buccaneers to land a defensive back to the caliber of Fuller. The 26-year old stands 5-11 and weighs 190 pounds. He is the type of defensive back that can shut down any opposing receiver.

The Buccaneers only had 22 interceptions as a team in 2017. Fuller’s last contract was 4 years at $9.6 million. We all know that free agents are getting insane money, so if the Buccaneers want Fuller they are going to have to pony up the dough. Fuller could benefit from playing in the warm weather of Tampa Bay since his injury was knee related. He would be another young defensive back in an unproven secondary for Tampa. The future could be bright in Tampa if we can pair Fuller with Vernon Hargreaves.
