After the end of last season, most were calling for DC Mike Smith to be fired. Some were calling for Koetter to get the axe as well. Well you can count former Bucs DE Robert Ayers in the group of people who haven’t been impressed with the defensive game plan masterminded by Smith thus far.

I’m not a big fan of Mike Smith’s defense, but it is a bit rich considering that he had just one decent season with Tampa Bay and his performance was flat, last year, with just 2 sacks. He has yet to be picked up by any pass rushing needy team.
