Brent Grimes still has not returned to practice after having been banged up in practice over a week ago. Don’t expect him to play Thursday.
I wouldn’t worry about Grime’s role on this defense as the veteran is more than a shoe-in to take over that starting position at CB.
To add insult to injury, the Buccaneers will begin preseason with a long list of players, who may just be listed as OUT for Thursday’s game and those players are WR Freddie Martino, LB Devante Bond, DE William Gholston, RB Shaun Wilson, DT Mitch Unrein, and TE Austin Johnson.
Caleb Benenoch, who had missed a ton of camp time, had returned to practice on Tuesday. He is battling Alex Cappa for a start at the RG spot.
Another notable return is Demar Dotson, who sustained a nasty knee injury last season, was back at practice, Tuesday as well.
