Our first round draft pick sustained a leg injury which had him carted off the field, despite his ability to hobble to the cart, last week.
His injury was a calf strain, which resulted in him riding a scooter and wearing a boot, during camp for the past week.
It seems now that the young man has been able to take off his boot and resume walking on his own, however, there isn’t exactly a timetable for his return. So, don’t expect him to play in Thursday’s Preseason game against the Miami Dolphins.
Vea was drafted with the intentions of him becoming an integral part of the defensive line this season, and that still will happen.
At this point in time, we can only cheer at his speedy recovery. Vita Vea is a tough young man and should be ready for the following preseason game on August, 18th in Tennessee. Unless he is being held out for precautionary reasons.
