When news broke that Kwon Alexander sustained a torn ACL during Sunday’s game, a few of his teammates took to Instagram to send out love and support.

Donovan Smith shared a picture of his friend and teammate on Instagram, captioned with, “Words can’t describe the amount of love and respect I have for this man here. The passion and love and energy he brings to our team. Came in together and made a name for ourselves. Much love and prayers for you Brodie! Love you as blood….you are blood to me and idc what anyone says….and I mean that 100 100 stay strong and know God got you. Proverbs 3:5-6.”

Another teammate, DeSean Jackson, posted a photo on Instagram of the two of them geared up on the field and captioned it with, “Y’all pray for my Lil bra @kwon he suffered a season ending injury today. This one of the most loyal, dedicated, young, talented players I’ve seen!! Much love & respect Lil bra!! You’ll bounce back stronger than ever!! LOVE.”

Lavonte David captioned an Instagram photo of him and Kwon that was taken during the game against the Browns with, “Main man, this is a tough one…gone pray and continue to pray for you bro. Gone be different but we gone definitely hold it down! Love you lil bro!”

And while it still remains to be seen how long he will need to recover from his injury, Kwon himself seemed upbeat and optimistic on Twitter Monday when he tweeted out, “Watch the comeback!!” He also retweeted Tampa Bay Buccaneers photo of him and a quote from Dirk Koetter stating, “He’s the heart and soul of our defense.” Koetter wished him a speedy recovery.  Kwon captioned the retweet with, “I’ll be back!!”

I, too, am wishing him a speedy recovery, and I look forward to seeing him back in the game!
