Jameis Winston Inches Closer to Bucs’ Completions Record

Despite the 2018 season being a wash, there are some positives for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ franchise quarterback Jameis Winston.

Winston had perhaps one of his most pedestrian games of the season this past Sunday, completing only 13 of 25 passes for 157 yards and one interception. In that performance, he managed to surpass Vinny Testaverde (1,126) for #2 in all-time franchise completions with 1,127. He trails current leader Josh Freeman by 17, who he’ll likely surpass in Dallas against the Cowboys on December 23.

Winston owns the franchise passing touchdowns record at 83. He trails Testaverde (14,820) for passing yards by 843 with 13,947, which theoretically but unlikely could break by season’s end. He’s also 166 yards away from Freeman for being the all-time QB rushing leader. He’s 4 away from surpassing Doug Williams from the QB rushing TD mark.

Of course, none of this matters much should Winston depart in 2019. So what Winston stat has impressed you the most?
