Jonah Williams

Offensive Tackle, Junior

6’5”, 301 lbs.

Overview: Playing for Nick Saban and the national champions Crimson Tide, Williams is no stranger to playing in the big game.  A four-star recruit out of California, Jonah had offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Georgia and Alabama. This quick-footed lineman received a reputation as a film junkie in his first year at Alabama. His size and strength are NFL-ready, and he is a polished three-year starter.

Second team All SEC 2016. Third team All American 2017. Unanimous All American 2018. Jacobs Blocking Trophy 2018.

ProsHand placement is excellent. Great initial contact with defender. Rarely extends over top of his base. Shows technical prowess on edge blocking. Gets chest squared up in space to sustain body control on blocks.

ConsLack of elite length can initially be a problem for getting hands on defender. Needs more “punch” on contact with pass rushers. Can be too patient at times. Will need to continue working to not allow defenders to free up late in reps.
