For yet another year the former Bucs hard-hitting safety John Lynch has failed to be named to the pro football Hall of Fame for the 6th straight year.

Lynch was named a finalist for this years 2019 class, but could not beat out an already heavy safety class that included Ed Reed. Lynch over his career notched 1,054 combined tackles and 26 interceptions. Outside being a kicker or punter, the safety position has proven to be one of the hardest positions to be enshrined in Canton. As there are now only 10 true safety’s in the Hall of Fame. Without a doubt Lynch has a good case to be included in Canton with the other greats, but will have to wait for just the right year to finally be enshrined.
