Wednesday evening at their indoor practice facility the Tampa Bay Buccaneers held their “Coach’s Krewe Night”. A gathering of season pass holders and the coaching staff.
It’s a great way for fans to get to know the coaching staff.
Turns out it’s also a great place to get some insight from Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles.
In talking about how he sees the Buccaneers defensive scheme, Bowles echoed new Head Coach Bruce Arians statement of working with the players strengths.
What I found interesting was his next statement.
“But they have to communicate with each other”

This statement could be taken several ways.
Bowles statement could be just innocent coach speak. On the other hand, it could be a subliminal jab at the previous coaching staff alluding to the reports of a split or divided locker last season. Or maybe it was a direct jab at some of the players who seemed to “check out” before the season ended.
Either way it appears as though this new Buccaneers coaching staff has a grasp on what the issues with this team were and are already putting in plans to fix them.
