As COVID-19 cases spike across the country the NFL is tightening the leash. Starting this Saturday, all 32 teams will operate under the intensive COVID-19 protocols for the remainder of the season. First reported by Judy Battista of NFL.COM. The restrictions will allow teams to better protect their players and staff.
The story (seen here), covers how the league will continue to do what eight months ago seemed impossible. Allow for a safe environment for league play while simultaneously respecting the nature of this serious pandemic. Not allowing personnel at the facilities until the previous days PCR tests come back negative. While holding all meetings virtually unless they are held safely outside or inside with a pre-approved plan. Even discouraging the use of locker rooms at anytime except game day. All steps to continually minimize the risk of close contact with potential carriers of the virus.
