Bucs Report/Locker Room’s Two-Round Fan Mock Draft

0
On April 25th I conducted the first ever 32-person, two-round mock draft on the Locker Room App, where fans represented their favorite teams.
Needless to say, it was a lot of fun, even if there were crazy picks and questionable trades.
There were some risers and fallers, and while it certainly won’t look like this come Thursday and Friday, it was interesting to see how fans viewed their teams needs. With the draft night upon us and mock season coming to an end, I present to you the “Locker Room Two-Round Mock Draft.” Enjoy!

Representing the Buccaneers, I feel like I did well for the team in this two-round mock draft. Moving down out of the first round 10 spots while gaining an early third allows the Buccaneers the versatility to move around the board or draft another quality prospect.

I was then able to move down twice in the second, acquiring two picks for next year while still landing a prospect I considered in the first round in Landon Dickerson.

Seeing value on the board and armed with an extra third round pick,  I decided to move up and secure an edge rusher. Which in hindsight was the right move, seeing as the other two of my three potential targets came off the board right after my selection. The cost to move up was one I was willing to pay. That’s because of the flexibility I had with the 74th pick in Round 3. After debating between Joseph Ossai and Joe Tryon, I went with the guy with solid tape and played in 2020 in Ossai.

All in all it was a blast getting together with 32 other team fans to conduct this mock. There has been great content building up to the draft on Locker Room and more to come. The Locker Room App has been open to Apple users since December but just recently launched their Android Beta. So what are you waiting for go download the app now!
