Report: Buccaneers To Play Bills In December

0

Well, so much for that earlier prediction. Apparently the Buccaneers are set to play the Bills in December. The two Super Bowl favorites will not meet in the season opener.

Per Ryan Talbot of NYUP.com, the Buccaneers and Bills will play each other on December 12, which is Week 14 of the regular season. The game will be an afternoon kickoff, essentially guaranteeing that it will be the primetime game during that time slot. Per Scott Zolak via Marc Bertrand of NBC Sports Boston, the Bills will play the Patriots during Week 1.

This leaves the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints as the top-2 candidates left for the Bucs’ season opener. Go ahead and mark the Cowboys as the likely favorites, due to their rabid fan base and ability to generate ratings no matter how long they’ve been mediocre or worse.

The 2021 schedule is set to be released on Wednesday, May 12 at 8PM EST.
