Bucs Report would like to introduce to you the new fantasy football writing duo of Adam Perdomo and Alex Dato from “Double Coverage Fantasy Chronicles with Adam & Alex”
Justin Herbert: Just call me Katniss Everdeen, cause I’m going to catch fire for this one! Herbert had arguably one of the best seasons as a rookie quarterback in 2020. He was the unanimous pick for OROTY after tossing 31 touchdowns and over 4,300 yards! Herbert will be kicking off his sophomore campaign behind a much improved offensive line. And with a healthy arsenal of skilled positions. An impressive off-season for Herbert should translate to the field.
I say Herbert will be even better this upcoming season. We’ve seen this before though, Sam Bradford, Andy Dalton, Marcus Mariota, Robert Griffin. He’s being targeted too high in Mock Drafts this summer. being drafted anywhere between the 4th and 8th QB. Although I would be content with Herbert as my QB1,
I don’t think I’ll be given the opportunity! It’s not that the Charges QB is overrated, just be being hyped up a bit too much for my liking and being selected earlier than I think he should be going.
Keenan Allen: Why is it that in most cases, as we’ve already selected a WR within the first 2 rounds of the draft and we’re looking to add another gem to the position, we shy away from Keenan? You guys know what I’m talking about! Very similar to Allen’s predecessor, Vincent Jackson never got the love either! Jackson was a Multi-Pro Bowler, strung together multiple 1,000-yard seasons, and yet most of us just felt “asi asi” about him.
Allen has been one of the most targeted WR’s the last half a decade! A 4x Pro Bowler, over 1100 yards 3 out of the last 4 seasons, one of the purest route runners in the league, and health no longer a concern; I think this man deserves to be discussed amongst being in the Tier 1 of Wide Receivers!.
Mike Williams: At 6’4, 220 lbs, running a 4.49, former 1st round pick out of Clemson, this dude is a BEAST!!! After battling injuries in his first couple of seasons, #81 has come on strong with his targets & total yardage increasing! His overall ability to make contested catches and be a true red-zone target reminds me of an Alshon Jeffery type, but better and a higher ceiling! With a potential top 10 offensive live, the aforementioned Herbert’s willingness to air it out, having to keep a nickel corner or even a Safety on Ekeler, and Allen lining up in the X, Y, and Z positions; Mr. Williams could be a solid WR2 and a HUGE STEAL in your upcoming draft(s)! You could feel like Danny Ocean for a couple of hours and not feel bad about it!
