Buccaneers Injury Update: Davis, Vea and Brown

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preparing for their Monday night matchup with the New York Giants. Thursday before practice, wide receiver Antonio Brown was working with the “JUGS” machine. As Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times reports, Brown had his helmet on while working out. This indicates he’s at least getting closer to rejoining the team practicing.

Kevin ODonnell from Fox 13 reports Brown ran some routes for Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady before heading inside. ODonnell also stated that while Brown appears to be closer his ankle doesn’t look like it’s “100” quite yet.

Buccaneers defensive tackle Vita Vea was spotted at practice Thursday although was not suited up to practice. Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times points out that Vea looked to be wearing a knee brace rather than the expected boot.

Buccaneers defensive back Carlton Davis was not seen at practice Thursday. As Greg Auman reports, Davis may have came out for the time allotted for the media. Auman points out that if Davis did in fact not practice today it’s “unlikely” he’ll play on Monday night.
